Devon Lancaster

Devon Lancaster, RMT

Devon was born in British Columbia and had the opportunity to live all across Canada before settling in Ottawa, where she studied Massage Therapy at Algonquin College.

Since graduating in 2004, she has been building a successful practice within the health community. In 2010 Devon became co-owner of the OPTC.

Devon believes that regular Massage Therapy is not only an excellent way to relieve stress, but that it also plays an important role in achieving and maintaining health, happiness, and a well-balanced life. She has experience in caring for persons with a wide variety of ailments, including chronic strain, postural adaptations and sports injuries.

Devon offers the highest quality of care by customizing her treatment and home care plans to suit each client’s individual needs. She believes Massage and Remedial exercise are key components in injury prevention & rehabilitation and is committed to educating her clients in this regard.

Stacey Ardiel

Stacey Ardiel, RMT

Stacey graduated in 1999 from the 2200-hour massage therapy program at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in Newmarket, Ontario. It is there that she received her education of massage theory, anatomy, physiology and pathology. Upon becoming registered, Stacey began her career in the Windsor area.

In 2000, she relocated to Ottawa and began working at the Ottawa Professional Therapy Centre. In August of 2005, Stacey became co-owner of the OPTC.

Stacey strongly believes in continuing her education. Since becoming registered she has received specialized training in CranioSacral Therapy, treatment for TMJ Dysfunction, Structural Integration, Reiki and Hot Stone Massage.

Over the course of her 10 year career Stacey has specialized in the treatment of headaches and upper body conditions which effect the shoulder, elbow and wrist. Stacey also enjoys educating the public and other health care professionals. She has attended and given numerous lectures and seminars regarding massage therapy and complementary health care.

Stacey thoroughly enjoys working as a Massage Therapist and through the use of Swedish massage techniques she has developed a practice that not only offers treatment for stress management but also treatment of specific syndromes and injuries. Utilizing a unique technique of incorporating deep tissue massage with relaxation Stacey offers a well rounded treatment to her patients. She also works in conjunction with her clientèle to decide on a treatment plan that best suits their individual needs.

Jessica Alguire

Jessica Alguire, B.Sc., I.M.T.C., RMT

In 1998 Jessica moved to Ottawa to complete her B.Sc. in Human Kinetics. For the next two and a half years she worked in a physiotherapy clinic as a Certified Kinesiologist.  The more she learned and worked with the human body, the more questions she wanted answered and she decided to formally further her studies in the medical field.

In 2006, Jessica graduated from a 2500-hour Massage Therapy program at Kiné Concept and started working at the OPTC.

Jessica’s curiosity about the human body continues to grow. In 2007 she completed her diploma and certification at the Connecticut School of Integrative Manual Therapy. Through this program she has received specialized training in advanced manual therapy including muscle energy techniques, myofascial release, pediatrics, visceral therapy, cardiac health, cranial therapy and lymphatic therapy. These techniques are very gentle making them ideal for clients who are uncomfortable with deep pressure.

Jessica believes in the importance of working in cooperation with the client as well as their health care team, to help them achieve their health care goals. During her treatments Jessica’s uses a unique variety of techniques and keeps her focus on her client’s comfort. She plans to actively continue furthering her education as this is a benefit to both her and her clients.

Monica Proscia

Monica Proscia, BA, RMT

Monica graduated in 2005 from the 2200 hour Massage Therapy program at Sutherland-Chan School and Teaching Clinic in Toronto, Ontario.

Monica began her career as a Massage Therapist in Brampton Ontario, where she worked with a number of health care professionals in treating clients for a variety of ailments ranging from stress management, repetitive strain and sports injuries to a variety of pain management and relaxation treatments.

In August 2008, Monica relocated to Ottawa where she began working for the Ottawa Professional Therapy Centre. She is excited to continue guiding people on the road to healthier bodies and pain free living through massage and remedial exercises. Monica strongly believes that Massage Therapy is an important tool which enables people to take control of their overall health and wellbeing.

Nathalie de Maurivez

Nathalie de Maurivez, B.Sc., D.Pod.M.

Nathalie is a certified foot specialist/Chiropodist from Ottawa. She graduated from Kinesiology at the University of Ottawa, and then furthered her graduate studies in Toronto in Podiatric Medicine.

In 2009, after graduation, she started her own mobile Chiropody business. In the last 2 years she has estabilished various clinics throughout the Ottawa region, as well as continues mobile care. Her work entails anything related to the ankle and foot such as plantar warts, corns and calluses, ingrown nails, thick/fungal nails, and custom foot orthotics to name a few.

Nathalie is fluently bilingual in both Canadian official languages. She believes that your feet are important and need special individualised care.

Am?lie B?langer

Amélie Bélanger, M.Sc., DOMP

A native of Quebec, Amélie had resided in several cities across Canada before deciding to establish her current practice in Ottawa.

She completed her B.Sc. in biology at the Université de Rimouski, her M.Sc in Animal Science at Laval University, and her DOMP at the Académie d'Ostéopathie de Montréal. She also obtained two diplomas in Hatha Yoga, specializing in yoga for adults and pregnant women, from the Yoga Vedanta Centre in Woodbourne, NY and the Sivananda Ashram and Yoga Retreat in Nassau, Bahamas.

Amélie's academic background introduced her to the understanding of life and the human body. The science of osteopathy explains bodily and psychological problems, while treating them directly at the source. Through her work, she strives to contribute to the betterment of her patients' mental and physical states.

Her consultations include a health assessment, determination of the "cause to condition" link and treatment using varying techniques, such as myofascial release, craniosacral, positional release, TMJ release, muscle energy, visceral mobilization and functional release. Amélie has been working in the field of osteopathy since 2009 and joined the OPTC in 2011.

Bronwyn Grant

Bronwyn Grant, RMT

Bronwyn studied Massage Therapy at Algonquin College completing the three-year program in 2011. She enjoyed working with a variety of clients including athletes, developmentally handicapped children and those with restrictive scars.

As a recent graduate, Bronwyn is looking forward to continuing her education. Furthering her knowledge in alternative and complementary health care modalities will build on her existing skills as a Registered Massage Therapist.

Bronwyn believes that regular Massage Therapy can significantly improve overall wellbeing by helping patients cope with stress and anxiety, enhancing their sleep quality and increase energy levels.
