Following its introduction in Taiwan in August, Asus has confirmed pricing for the ROG Phone 5S series in Europe. The ROG Phone 5S has 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage for €999, while a step-up variant with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage for €1,099 more.
The top-of-the-line 5S Pro costs €1,299 and comes with an enormous 18GB of RAM and the same 512GB of storage. Meanwhile, Pocket-Lint says that the 16GB model will cost £999 and the 18GB Pro variant will cost £1,099 in the UK, but no pricing for the 12GB model has been announced.
The ROG Phone 5S and 5S Pro are modest improvements to the ROG Phone 5 and 5 Ultimate that Asus announced earlier this year in terms of functionality. Their processors are quicker, and their panels have a more responsive 360Hz touch-sampling rate (their 144Hz refresh rates are unaltered), but the basic specifications remain the same. 6.78-inch 1080p monitors, 6,000mAh batteries, and a triple-rear camera array with 64-megapixel primary sensors are still included.
Despite the fact that European pricing for the phones has already been revealed, specific release dates appear to differ from region to country. For example, Asus’ online store in the United Kingdom presently does not have links to preorder the phones. The ROG Phone 5S 16GB model is already available in France, while the 12GB and 18GB RAM models will be available on November 19th. We haven’t heard anything regarding the new phones being released in the United States.
