An exclusive CNN investigation details how a lady in Minnesota who used mercury-containing lotions lost her peripheral vision permanently and placed her family in danger of the toxin.
According to CNN, the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency conducted home inspections and found skin-lightening lotions with high mercury levels that did not disclose mercury as an ingredient. According to CNN’s story, high levels of mercury were also discovered in the home’s towels, bedding, and children’s bedrooms.
A second Minnesota lady, CNN reports, had kidney problems after using the same creams two years ago.
