With the fourth major entry in the survival horror series, Capcom continues its pattern of remaking classic Resident Evil titles. On March 24th, 2023, a remake of Resident Evil 4 will be released on the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, bringing the action-packed game to current platforms. Capcom also claims that the game will support the next generation of PlayStation VR in some way. You can see what a next-gen Leon Kennedy looks like in the first trailer above.
In a blog post, Capcom stated, “We intend to make the game feel familiar to fans of the franchise while simultaneously delivering a fresh vibe to it.” “This is accomplished by reinventing the game’s plot while maintaining the game’s overall direction, upgrading the visuals, and bringing the controls up to date.” Capcom also said that “several team members” from the great 2019 Resident Evil 2 remake contributed to this project.
Resident Evil Village is apparently in the works for PSVR2, according to Capcom, and it sounds terrible.
