Following a spate of gunshots in the area, Hollywood locals are understandably worried for their safety.

The last one occurred at 11:59 p.m. on November 22. The 6600 block of McKinley Street was the scene of a shooting caught on camera by the media.

Hollywood police say two individuals were shot that night, but they are both doing OK now. The event was described by authorities as an isolated gunshot, but they gave no additional information.

According to eyewitnesses, the video shows a resident of the neighborhood coming out of their home and shooting shots at the fleeing vehicle. From the front porch, you may get a glimpse of what seem to be muzzle flashes.

“We’re not in the middle of a battlefield. We’re not in Iraq. Someone who lives nearby commented, “This is not Afghanistan,” but they requested anonymity.

The persons who were at the residence ran away after the gunshot, according to Mauricio Abreu, a neighbor who lives close.

And they just left the two injured persons lying there. They’re a couple, made up of a lady and a guy. ‘Help, help!’ she pleaded. “We contacted law enforcement,” Abreu said.

According to eyewitnesses, at least one of the victims was outside a home, sitting in his vehicle. A video captures a neighbor leaving their home and yelling for assistance.

Shots were fired into a house on our street, and a little girl was found bleeding to death. A lady who requested anonymity said that her car had been fired at.

According to eyewitnesses, a number of gunshots have taken place at a rental house in the area in recent months.

This, they added, is not the first time they’ve felt threatened by events occurring there. There was a strong desire to safeguard the anonymity of those who spoke out as neighbors.

Multiple police visits and calls have been made to that address. A nearby resident said that SWAT had to enter the building and physically remove one occupant at gunpoint.

The property was listed in the name of RPS Consulting Florida, LLC. When questioned by the media how he planned to increase security on the premises, the company’s owner directed inquiries to the vacation rental agency leasing the home.

The property management firm is named LeisureLife Property, LLC.

“If the neighbors, or anybody, if they see anything, let us know,” the owner of LeisureLife Property, LLC added. To paraphrase, “As long as we know and are alerted quickly, we will act.”

According to LeisureLife Property, LLC’s owner, a man and a woman were sitting in a vehicle on the street in front of the home when the gunman opened fire. According to the proprietor, the male stayed there as a guest but the lady did not.

The company’s short-term vacation license has been withdrawn for a full year, according to the City of Hollywood.

The Hollywood Police Department has announced that patrols would be increased. The authorities are asking anybody with knowledge about the incident to come forward.
