HBO’s puzzle-filled robot show with added sides of hedonism and murder is close to returning, with fans purportedly unearthing a teaser trailer for season four of Westworld ahead of its planned premiere.
It was an Easter Egg set up for loyal fans, according to HBO public relations director Chris Godefroy, and there will be more, as we’ve seen in prior seasons. Many of our android friends, adversaries, and pals who didn’t realize they were androids will continue to have roles to play, as you can see on HBO’s YouTube page (via Reddit). This link appeared on Thrillist’s Instagram feed alongside a photo of New York City, hinting at a location in the forthcoming season.
I’d go into more detail about the probable narrative lines shown in the flashbacks and scenes, but I don’t recall seeing season three of this program, despite having watched seasons one and two. The third season, which premiered on March 15th, 2020, two months before HBO Max and right in the middle of early coronavirus pandemic lockdowns in the United States, didn’t nearly have the same effect as the previous two.
